Greenhouse cooling system. Engineer using electrical testing equipment (lower centre) and a handheld infrared thermometer while working with cooling tubes for a seawater greenhouse (tubes at right). A seawater greenhouse works like a fridge, using a system of cooling tubes to form a cool and humid environment. The cooling fluid used is seawater, making the system particularly suitable for use in countries with low levels of fresh water. Hot air entering the greenhouse cools as its energy is used to evaporate water. As the humid air leaves the greenhouse,is passes over seawater-cooled condensing tubes (seen here) and the water in the air condenses and can be reused | |
