Hoodoo. A hoodoo is an erosional feature that formed as the result of differential erosion of unconsolidated sediments. The pillar is capped by a piece of rock that protects it from erosion. The unprotected material is eroded by occasional heavy rains, gradually forming a spire. Photographed in Guelmamet,Sahara Desert, southern Algeria | |
