Quetzalcoatlus. Artwork of a flying Quetzalcoatlus (Quetzalcoatlus sp.),a type of Pterosaur. This was the largest living thing ever to fly, with a wingspan of over 15 metres in some individuals. Quetzalcoatlus lived towards the end of the dinosaurs' reign on Earth,up until around 65 million years ago. Opinion is divided on their behaviour, with some palaeontologists seeing them as soaring vulture- like feeders, and others as wading stork-like animals. They are generally considered to be warm- blooded, and some genera had a furry coat for insulation | |
