Wizard Island is a new volcano,formed after the collapse. It rises 230 metres above the surface of the lake. The lake itself is around 600 metres deep,and the height of the caldera wall ranges from 300-600 metres above the level of the lake (equivalent to over 2000 metres above sea level).
