Melting icebergs in a proglacial lake. This is lake Jokulsarlon, the largest proglacial lake in Iceland. Its waters are meltwater from the Vatnajokull glacier and associated glaciers. The lake has doubled in size since the mid-1970s,due to increased retreat of Icelandic glaciers. Photographed in Iceland | |
