Iceberg. Icebergs are floating chunks of ice that have broken away (calved) from a glacier or an ice sheet that has reached the sea. They can reach enormous sizes, towering over 100 metres above the surface of the water. Only about 10 percent of an iceberg is visible, with most of it being below the water's surface.
