Clouds at dusk. The setting Sun is obscured by a layer of cloud (altostratus translucidus) that is advancing towards the coastline. The low, elongated dark clouds are stratocumulus cumulogenitus, which form from cumulus clouds that spread out at the end of the day. The highest clouds are cirrocumulus sratiformis clouds. This pattern of cloud types may indicate an imminent change in weather. Photographed in Dorset,UK | |
