An engineer prepares to climb a transition piece of a wind turbine on the Walney offshore wind farm,which consists of 102,3.6 MW turbines,giving a total capacity of the Walney project of 367.2 MW,enough to power 320,000 homes. The rotor diameter of the turbines is 107m for Walney 1 and 120 m for Walney 2. The wind farm is owned and constructed by Dong Energy,Cumbria,UK
