The Kreuzberge are prominent limestone peaks in the Santis area of north-eastern Switzerland. The rock towers are formed by vertical layers of limestone, which are part of a heavily eroded, very steep anticline. Erosion is also the cause of the formation of several holes through the peaks. In the background are mountains of Liechtenstein and Austria. This area is popular with rock climbers | |
