Marfan syndrome is a genetic disorder that damages connective tissue. Here,it has damaged the tissue of the artery wall,leading to arterial dissection - a tear in the inner wall of the artery that causes blood to flow between the layers of the wall. This forces the layers apart and results in the formation of an aneurysm
