Imaging ultraviolet spectrograph (IUVS). This is part of NASA's Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution mission (MAVEN). The IUVS will measure characteristics of Mars' upper atmosphere and ionosphere,such as major molecules,atoms,ions and isotopes. It is part of MAVEN's remote sensing package (RS).
