Muscovite is a phyllosilicate mineral of aluminium and potassium the exact chemical formula being very complex. It's crystal system is monoclinic. It is a common micaceous mineral frequently incorporated in plutonic as well as metamorphic rocks like granite and gneiss,often giving the sparkle to these rocks.
