Presentation at the court of a king,Food preparation for the Sultan Ghiyath al-Din,from the Ni'matnama-i Nasir al-Din Shah. The small inscription appears to be 'madab,' feast or entertainment. Again a garden pavilion with typical Mandu architecture of a tower topped by a small dome. Ghiyath Shahi is wearing informal clothes,seated on cushions with the usual attendants holding dishes. A female cook kneels by the stove in the foreground,to the left of a large pool or cascade. The section is concerned with bread-making. Opaque watercolour. Sultanate style Image taken from The Ni'matnama-i Nasir al-Din Shah. A manuscript on Indian cookery and the preparation of sweetmeats,spices etc. Originally published in 1495 - 1505
