Borsig's factory at Oranienburg. 19th-century artwork of the iron foundry and locomotive factory established by German industrialist August Borsig (1804-1854) at Oranienburg Gate (Oranienburger Tor),Berlin,Germany. Borsig founded his train locomotive manufacturing company here in 1837. By the 1840s,his company was expanding and his Moabit ironworks became operational in 1849,followed by a third factory in 1850,bringing the number of employees to 1800.
