Tarbosaurus dinosaur. Artwork of an Tarbosaurus,a large bipedal predator belonging to the same family as Tyrannosaurus Rex (Tyrannosauridae). Of all the tyrannosaurids, the Tarbosauryus has the smallest two-fingered forelimbs in relation to body size. Its mouth was equipped with dozens of large, sharp teeth and it had a unique locking mechanism in its lower jaw. It lived in what is now Asia at the end of the Late Cretaceous Period (70-65 million years ago) | |
