MODEL RELEASED. Enlarged tongue. Male patient with an abnormally large tongue (macroglossia). This condition results from an increase in the amount of tissue in the tongue. Treatment is only needed if it causes problems with speech,eating or breathing. The patient also has venous lakes (blue papules) on his lips. These are thought to be caused by sun damage
