| Implantable defibrillator surgery. Angiography being used during surgery to fit a biventricular implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD). The machine at top centre is taking an X-ray of the blood vessels of the chest. This is displayed at top left and helps the surgeon to guide the ICD's wires to the correct location. An ICD is used to treat serious ventricular arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythm). It delivers an electrical shock that resets the heart rate to a normal rhythm.
