Hyacinth quartz. Cluster of red-coloured quartz crystals. Quartz is a form of silica (silicon dioxide). The colouring seen here results from haematite (iron oxide) dispersed in the quartz crystal lattice. This quartz variety may be referred to as hyacinth quartz.
