Secretary bird (Sagittarius serpentarius) wading in a watering hole. This bird of prey inhabits grassland and open spaces of sub-Saharan Africa. Although an accomplished flyer it remains mostly terrestrial. It feeds on snakes,large insects,lizards and rats,stamping the larger prey to death with its large claws.
