The object at lower right is a companion object detected in a gap in the disc. This object may be either a brown dwarf star or a large gas giant planet. Evidence for the structure of the dust ring and disc was obtained with ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT). This star system is 350 light years from Earth,in the constellation of Chamaeleon.
