Bertillon identification system class. French policemen being taught the identification system developed by the French police officer Alphonse Bertillon (1853-1914) in 1883. Ten standard physical measurements were taken that could be used to identify criminals who gave false names. Measurements included height,length of right ear,width of head,and reach of the right arm.
