Mulka's Cave. Entrance to Mulka's Cave, also known as Bates Cave,in Hyden,Western Australia. The walls of this cave are decorated with Aboriginal cave paintings and hand prints. According to Aboriginal folklore the hand prints belong to a Mulka,an illegitimate child who was born cross-eyed as punishment for his parents illicit relationship. He was big and strong, but couldn't hunt because of his poor eyesight and so ate local children instead | |
