Osiris, the god of the dead and ruler of the underworld,is sitting on his throne wearing a white crown and holding a hook,a flail and a sceptre. His sisters,Isis and Nephthys stand behind him. Before him,the four children of Horus stand on a lotus flower. Ani appears twice. First he is being introduced to Osiris by Horus, the son of Isis, and afterwards kneeling, with whitened hair, before Osiris, whom he addresses in prayer. In presenting him to Osiris,Horus says that the heart of Ani had been weighed in the balance by Thoth who found Ani to be just and righteous and without sin.
