Cadbury's milk chocolate. 19th-century advert for an early type of milk chocolate sold by the Cadbury brothers and based on a recipe by the English physician Hans Sloane (1660-1753). Sloane had discovered his recipe,which involved mixing milk with cocoa bean extracts,while travelling in Jamaica in 1687 and 1688. The Cadbury brothers' version was produced between 1849 and 1875.
