The hat with the veil,the gauntlets and the white protective suit help to prevent being stung by wasps etc. and together with the face mask protect the operative from contamination and ingestion of the toxic dry powder insecticide. These insecticides are not available to the public but only to users who have undergone professional training in their application and proper use. Bendiocarb,an acutely toxic carbamate insecticide,is commonly used in wasp nest control. It is in the World Health Organization (WHO) class II for acute toxicity indicating that it is moderately hazardous to humans if ingested or absorbed through the skin.
