Hospital patient (simulated by model) uses a sensor for breath sample analysis in a study at Leicester University,UK. to integrate a number of advanced diagnostic methods including mass spectrometry,thermal imaging and ultrasound blood flow measurement. Using expertise from chemical and space research scientists to compliment medical practice it is hoped that a rapid,portable and non-invasive detection instrument will be developed to detect disease.
