The Creation. A diagram depicting the Creation of the Universe as the interplay of darkness and light. At the top is God. On the right is 'divine volunty',from which comes divine wisdom and the bringing of light to the darkness and thus creating the world from the void. On the left is the line of 'divine nolity',from which comes divine potency. As this light/dark duality contradicts Augustinian orthodoxy that God is the one and only good, the author resorts to invoking the classical allegory of Dionysius and Apollo as emblems of darkness and light.
