Guy's Hospital. 18th century engraving of Guy's Hospital in Southwark,London. Guy's was founded in 1721 by Sir Thomas Guy,a governor of the nearby St.Thomas' Hospital. The intention was that Guy's would house the incurables discharged from St.Thomas'. Today it is one of the major teaching hospitals,including a 34-storey tower block.
