Antigorite mineral. Antigorite is a variety of the serpentine group of minerals,which are hydrous magnesium iron phyllosilicates. Antigorite occurs in dark to light green colours,with a hardness of 3.5–4 and a very greasy lustre. The sample seen here is a rare variety of antigorite called bowenite with hardness up to 5.5.
