Examples of various means of obtaining and recording photographic images in still photography. Light-sensitive silver halide materials shown here include 5 X 4inch sheet film in a darkslide for a single image,a size 120 roll film for up to 12 exposures and a 35mm film cassette which records up to 36 images. Alongside are two examples of the memory cards which in digital photography are used to store the images captured by the camera's sensor. Unlike silver halide materials, the images on memory cards can be erased and the card used again. Their capacity varies with the image resolution setting as well as memory size | |
