Control unit of a remotely controlled machine which is inserting catheters into the heart of a man with atrial fibrillation,in order to ablate or 'burn' cells which form the abnormal electrical pathways which give rise to this condition. The blue light indicates that the robotic arm is in motion. The monitor shows a real-time X-ray image of the patient's spine and heart area, with the end of the catheter being navigated to the precise point that the surgeon has judged effective for the ablating or burning away groups of cells which form abnormal electrical pathways in the heart.
