Henry Clutterbuck (1767-1856),English physician. Clutterbuck was born at Marazion in Cornwall. He was apprenticed to a surgeon in Truro and in 1788 moved to London and was admitted to the College of Surgeons. He published the fortnightly journal,Medical and Chirurgical Review,and in 1802 went to Edinburgh and Glasow where he graduated as doctor of medicine. Clutterbuck was well-liked lecturer,and on the basis of this he published his Inquiry into the Seat and Nature of Fever in 1809. For the rest of his life he practiced medicine in London | |
