Elizabeth of Bohemia,Princess Palatine (1618-1680),Philosopher. Elizabeth was the eldest daughter of Frederick V and Elizabeth Stuart. She was highly intelligent,spoke six languages and had a special interest in philosophy. Between 1643 and 1646 she corresponded with Descartes. Elizabeth questioned how the body and mind could communicate if the mind-body dichotomy existed. Descartes never satisfactorily answered her question.
