| MODEL RELEASED. Pinned toes on the foot of a 66 year old female patient,seven weeks after surgery to correct a bunion (hallux valgus),a swelling in the joint of the big toe. The big toe has been surgically treated using Akin's osteotomy in which a wedge of bone is removed from the base of the toe to straighten it,and the other toes pinned straight.
