Muslim prayer times displayed on the wall of a mosque. Muslims are supposed to subscribe to the Five Pillars (practices) of Islam. One of these is the Salah,or ritual prayer. This states that every Muslim must pray five times a day. These prayer times change depending on the time of year, and this board is used to remind followers at what times they should pray. This has a clock at the top that shows the current time, and six dials below that can be adjusted to the required times. Photographed on the wall of the Jamae Mosque,Chinatown,Singapore | |
