Red tingle trees (Eucalyptus jacksonii). These giant trees can reach up to 60 metres (m) in height and up to 16m across at the base. They may live for up to 400 years. They have a shallow root system,relying on their buttressed bases for support. They are found only in one area of the Walpole district of Western Australia.
