Wild plant (unidentified) flowering amid the rocks of a volcanic eruption. Life has returned to the area around the volcano Mount St Helens (upper left),despite the devastation caused by the 1980 eruption. A titanic blast during the eruption ripped out the north face of the volcano,as seen at upper centre. The blast devastated an area of 600 square kilometres.
