Ghost Rock showing differential weathering, where rocks of different kinds in the same formation disintegrate at different rates. This escarpment rises hundreds of metres above the badlands of the Colorado Plateau in southeastern Utah, USA. This area is part of the Sinbad Formation which is known for an abundance of fossils dating back to the Early Triassic Period. | |
