Phagocytosis by neutrophil, light microscopy footage
Référence de la vidéo 12543646
Phagocytosis by neutrophil. Light microscopy footage of a neutrophil (centre, a type of white blood cell) engulfing microbes (blue, round) as part of the body's immune response. The microbes will be destroyed by the neutrophil. Phagocytosis is the process by which cells engulf solids, extruding an area of cell membrane to surround them. Microbes engulfed in this way include bacteria.
