Gene Cernan floats in his couch inside the Command Module in his under garments - brushing a quiff of hair self-consciously in front of the camera. He chews gum and a small medallion around his neck floats in the weightless conditions. It seems to be caught on a catch in the spacecraft behind his neck restricting the amount that it floats. The camera pans slowly around the cabin showing the mess of equipment including cameras, drink bottles, wires, cables, plumbing and Gene's tunic. The hatch door hangs down in the entrance to the connecting tunnel. On the left is a window through which a deep blue colour can be seen. At the end of the clip Ron Evans flips the camera over and films himself. Date recorded: 1972-12-07 to 1972-12-19 | |
