Timelapse footage of jet stream winds blowing through stationary lenticular clouds. The clouds do not move with the wind as they are produced on the crests of a standing wave, typically formed as air is raised as it passes over a mountain. At the top of the wave it is so cold that moisture condenses into cloud, leaving the air dry and clear downwind of it. Filmed in the USA. | |
