The Mojave desert following a rare desert rainfall in southern Nevada, USA. Rising nearly 1, 000 meters in the distance, the sandstone peaks of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The Mojave receives about 30 cm of rain a year and temperatures can exceed 50 degrees C at lower elevations. Temperatures can fall below freezing in the winter. | |
