Making a concetrated solution by adding a solute to water. In this case, potassium dichromate is added to a beaker filled with distilled water. Initially the amount of solute is small, and the resulting solution is pale at low conctration. As increasing quantities of the solute are added, the molar concentration of potassium dichromate in the solution increases. This is seen as a deepening of the colour of the solution. | |
