Light microscopy of Panagrellus redivivus nematodes writhing about in water. P. redivivus is a free-living freshwater nematode. It can reach a length of just over a millimetre, and is similar in appearance to the related Caenorhabditis elegans. Like that nematode, it is sometimes used in genetic analysis studies. P. redivivus is a very popular fish food, and is often raised by aquarists as a first food for newborn fry. Recorded under Rheinberg illumination. | |
