Zoom in to the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, infrared view. The original HUDF image was taken in 2004, in a tiny patch of the sky in the constellation Fornax. In 2009 the same area was imaged with the new Wide Field Camera 3, in near-infrared wavelengths. The image was the deepest view of the universe at the time, looking back to galaxies formed as little as 600 million years after the Big Bang. | |
