Zoom from a wide shot of the Milky Way to the globular cluster Terzan 5. This cluster is part of the central bulge of the Milky Way galaxy. Unlike most globular clusters it has two distinct populations of stars, which implies that it is the core of a smaller galaxy absorbed by the Milky Way. It orbits the centre of the Milky Way, and lies around 18, 000 light years from Earth, in the constellation Sagittarius.<br>Restrictions: | |
