Zoom into the starbirth region NGC 2467. With an age of a few million years at most, it is a very active stellar nursery, where new stars are born continuously from large clouds of dust and gas. Radiation from the hot young star clusters ionises the surrounding gas, causing it to glow. The nebula lies around 17, 000 light years from Earth in the constellation Puppis.<br>Restrictions: | |
