Volvox is a freshwater microscopic alga which forms hollow spherical colonies consisting of hundreds, even thousands of cells. Each cell is approximately 10 microns in size and possess two flagella which are used to propel the colony in a tumbling motion. Recorded under darkfield illumination. | |
