Didinium nasutum in constant motion as they search for prey. One collides with its primary food, Paramecium, and sticks it with a needle-like organ that soon paralyzes the protozoan. Didinium is a ciliate that can reach a size of 150-200 microns. Recorded under Nomarski DIC illumination. | |
