| Computed tomography (CT, top right and bottom right) and coloured positron emission tomography (PET, top centre and bottom centre) scans in coronal section of a 75 year old male patient with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (stage IV) on the right side of the neck and face with bone invasion. The CT and PET scans are combined in the top right and bottom right images. The top row of images show the patient before chemotherapy treatment. The bottom row of images show the patient after four chemotherapy sessions. The cancer has been highlighted using a radioactive marker in a technique that uses F-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG). | |
